Cabaret
Thriller / Experimental

Times seem to be moving slowly in a far out London theatre, where a stylist has been carrying on with her routine for the past 10 years.

Director's Statement
It’s truly powerful to witness the abandonment of one's dreams in favour of a monotonous routine. How many of us are willing to take the risk, fighting for true happiness and expressing the inner feelings? As a filmmaker, I always aim to subjectively connect with my material, and this piece was the perfect opportunity to do so. Inspired by the 1972 musical piece “Cabaret”, this film is created to engage and entertain. Incorporating various elements such as sexually suggestive burlesque, satire, inclusiveness and totalitarianism. The stage comes alive with vibrant characters, a dreamlike world, and mesmerizing lights that accentuate the silhouettes of the talented dancers. However, it's easy to get lost in the performance and realize that time has swiftly slipped away.
